Works From my Weird Little Universe.
These five bodies of work span two decades of drawing, soft sculpture, and chasing weird ideas. My art has always been part memory, part intuition, and part play. A mix of textiles, drawing, painting, sculpture, animation, and, most recently, type. I’m drawn to contrasts like macro vs micro, interior vs exterior, above vs below ground….. the spaces where oddities, symbiotic relationships, and hidden worlds overlap.
I grew up on the outskirts of Tucson in the Sonoran Desert and later moved to the Bay Area to study film and painting at CCA. My work has been shown in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tucson, Italy, and Montreal, including The Lab (SF), Black Market Gallery (LA), and the Tucson Art Museum.
