Typefaces & Lettering, one weird idea at a time..

I’m five years into designing typefaces, and it seems like it’s here to stay. This slow-growing, deeply nerdy practice has found it’s way into everything I make; my artwork is sprouting more letterforms, and my illustration and lettering keep cross-pollinating in surprising ways. A major Curiously update is coming in 2026, and a new typeface called Excelsior is in the works.

My lettering work for books, bands, and art projects has become a breeding ground for future type families. Below are the type-and-lettering creatures that have shown up in my world over the past few years.
